San Jose, Calif. - The San Jose Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) / Child Exploitation Detail (CED) task force arrested suspect Hector Benjamin Joya Jimenez for Sending Harmful Matter to a Minor (felony) - Penal Code 288.2(a)(2) and Annoy or Molest a Child under 18 years (misdemeanor) - Penal Code 647.6(a).

The investigation revealed suspect Jimenez is a youth soccer coach for Liverpool Club International Academy Bay Area and current soccer player for Roots Sports Club in Oakland.  In March 2020, Jimenez befriended the victim and started communicating with her via Snapchat and sent her unsolicited images of his genitals on several occasions.

On April 15, 2020, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and took the suspect into custody in San Jose.  He was subsequently booked into Santa Clara County Jail for the listed charges.
