San Jose, Calif. - On Thursday, January 30, 2020, at about 1:20 AM, San Jose police officers responded to the 1000 block of Leigh Avenue in San Jose on a report of a shooting.  Arriving officers located victim Arturo Castillo in a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound.  Castillo was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, Castillo was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Homicide detectives conducted extensive follow-up investigation, identified the listed suspects, and obtained murder warrants for each suspect. Suspect Epps was taken into custody in Sacramento on June 3, 2020, by the San Jose Police Department's Covert Response Unit. Epps was subsequently booked into Santa Clara County Jail for murder. Suspect Moten was taken into custody in San Jose on June 23, 2020, by homicide detectives. Moten was subsequently booked into Santa Clara County Jail for murder.

Suspects Antione Simon and Venitia Hyatt have active murder warrants for their arrest and have not been located.
