SJPD Investigating Traffic Fatality #41 for 2020

On November 10th, 2020 at approximately 3:43 AM, Officers responded to the intersection of Brokaw Road and Zanker Road to investigate a collision involving two vehicles. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:

A red 2003 Lexus SC-430, operated by an adult female, was traveling westbound on Brokaw Rd when it was struck by a grey 2009 Lexus RX-350, which was traveling southbound on Zanker Road. The impact occurred as the grey Lexus entered the intersection against a red signal light. The adult female driver of the grey Lexus was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the red Lexus was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

This is the 41st fatal collision incident for 2020 and the 42nd victim.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after they confirm the victim’s identity and notify next of kin.
