SJPD Investigating Homicide #3

On January 13th, at approximately 4:43 PM, Officers responded to the 100 block of East Virginia Street on a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they located an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Life saving measures were taken at the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury.

There are currently no suspects identified or apprehended. The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.

This is the City's 3rd homicide of 2021.
