SJPD Investigating Traffic Fatality #3 for 2021

On February 4th, 2021 at approximately 1:15 AM, Officers responded to the area of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Chantilley Lane to investigate a single vehicle collision. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:

A 2020 Honda Civic, operated by an adult male, was traveling eastbound on Santa Teresa Boulevard when it swerved off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.

This is the third fatal traffic collision and third victim of 2021.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after they confirm the victim's identity and notify next of kin.
