On February 23rd, 2021, at approximately 8:44 PM, Officers responded to the 2400 block of Monterey Highway on a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they located an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a life-threatening injury. On February 25th, at approximately 2:25 am, the victim succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased.
There are currently no suspects identified or apprehended. The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
This is the City's 6th homicide of 2021.
