UPDATE: The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for the murder of The Nguyen, a 55-year old father and husband.
On March 5, 2021, at approximately 5:54 AM, San Jose Police Officers responded to the area of Glen Keats Court and Glen Ferguson Circle on a report of a person shot. Officers arrived to find Mr. Nguyen in the arms of his wife and daughter, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Mr. Nguyen was declared deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed Mr. Nguyen saw the suspects tampering with his vehicle and went outside to confront and stop the suspects. One of the suspects shot Mr. Nguyen in front of his son, who was coming to his father’s aid.
Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as light blue and/or silver BMW, 4DR, with possible damage to the left rear taillight, both driver side windows, and windshield.
There were at least two suspects, one of which was described only as an unknown race male.
Although the victim was Vietnamese, we have no information that this homicide was racially motivated.

On March 5th, 2021, at approximately 5:54 AM, Officers responded to the 2800 block of Glen Keats Court on a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they located an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was declared deceased at the scene by paramedics.
There are currently no suspects identified or apprehended. The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
This is the City's 7th homicide of 2021.
