SJPD Investigating Homicide #13

On April 8th, 2021, at approximately 4:57 PM Officers responded to the 1100 block of S. 1st Street on a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian hit and run collision. When they arrived, they located an adult male victim suffering from life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital and on April 16th, 2021, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect used the vehicle as a weapon to intentionally attack the victim.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office.

This is the City's 13th homicide of 2021.
