On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at approximately 7:50 PM, an assault with great bodily injury on two separate women occurred in a residential neighborhood near Meridian Avenue and Fruitdale Avenue in San José.

The first victim was jogging when she was approached by the suspect who initially engaged her in conversation. He suddenly attacked her without warning, but the victim was able to escape. The suspect fled on his bicycle. He travelled a short distance and encountered the second victim. The suspect again began talking to the second victim before violently attacking her. Both victims sustained serious injuries. The suspect fled the area on his bicycle and was last seen travelling southbound on Meridian Avenue from Fruitdale Avenue.

The suspect is described as a dark complected Hispanic male in his late twenties or early thirties. He is approximately 5’-5” to 5’-8” tall with a medium build. The suspect has dark hair and dark eyes. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and an orange vest.
