On May 5th, 2021, at approximately 8:09 PM, Officers responded to the 900 block of East Santa Clara Street after hearing gunshots in the area. When they arrived, they located two adult male victims, each suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The first victim was transported to a local hospital where he was declared deceased. The second victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
There are currently no suspects identified or apprehended. The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
The identity of the deceased victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
This is the City's 15th homicide of 2021.
