The video below depicts the unknown vehicle involved in the fatal hit-and-run from May 4th. We are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the vehicle. It is a smaller SUV, possibly a BMW or Mercedes-Benz, white in color with a thin black stripe on the sides of the vehicle.

On May 4th, 2021, at approximately 9:55 PM, Officers responded to the 1500 block of Kooser Road to investigate a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
An adult male was riding an electric unicycle eastbound on Kooser Road, in the middle of the traffic lane, when he fell down. Immediately upon falling down he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The unknown vehicle and driver fled the scene immediately after the collision.
The adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is the 16th fatal traffic collision, and 17th victim of 2021.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after they confirm the victim’s identity and notify next of kin.
