On June 6th, 2021, at approximately 9:36 PM, Officers responded to the area of Piercy Road and Optical Court to investigate a solo motorcyclist traffic collision. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
An adult male motorcyclist was riding a 2015 Hyosung motorcycle. The motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Piercy Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a concrete curb. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is the 21st fatal traffic collision, and 22nd victim of 2021.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after they confirm the victim’s identity and notify next of kin.
