On May 18, 2021, at approximately 9:25 PM, Officers were dispatched to an assault with a deadly weapon incident that occurred at the intersection of Chiala Lane and Windsor Street, near the border of the City of Cupertino.
The female juvenile victim was walking with her mother when an unknown suspect shot towards them with what was later discovered to be a pellet gun. The victim was struck at least one time and suffered a non-life threatening injury requiring hospitalization.
The suspect vehicle is described as an older, four-door sports utility vehicle, possibly two-tone in color. The suspect and vehicle were last seen traveling eastbound on Chiala Lane.
