Suspect Arrested for Homicide #21

On June 13th, 2021, at approximately 02:26 AM, Officers responded to the 2800 block of Donizetti Court on a report of a person stabbed. When they arrived, they located one adult male victim suffering from at least one stab wound. The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect and victim were arguing on the sidewalk in front of the victim's home. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. On June 13th, at approximately 6:50 AM, Officers from the Gilroy Police Department located the suspect in a stolen vehicle within Gilroy city limits and took him into custody without incident. The suspect was transported back to San José, where he was booked at the Santa Clara County main jail for murder. 

This was the City's 21st homicide of 2021.
