Since February of 2021, there have been a multitude of violent felonies that have been linked to a group of individuals in San José. The group is part of an active street gang that have been linked to at least 10 violent crimes including carjackings, shootings, stolen vehicles, and burglaries.
Robbery, Gang Investigations, and Assaults Unit detectives, with assistance from members of our Special Operations Division, have been working tirelessly to identify and apprehend this violent group of gang members.
On August 3rd, 2021, in a coordinated operation, numerous search warrants and arrest warrants were executed throughout San José with the goal of locating and arresting these dangerous individuals. Three suspects were arrested in connection to many of the above listed crimes. Officers located illegally possessed firearms, equipment used to manufacture and assemble firearms (often referred to as ghost guns), illegal high-capacity magazines, a ballistic vest, narcotics, and stolen property.
Thanks to the tenacious work of detectives, Officers from the Covert Response Unit (CRU), Special Operations Division personnel from our Mobile Emergency Response Group and Equipment (MERGE), Metro Unit, and the Violent Crime Enforcement Team (VCET), these violent individuals will face numerous felony charges.
The suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
