SJPD Arrests Suspect for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child

 

On August 6th, 2021 at approximately 7:36 AM, patrol Officers responded to the 100 Block of Damsen Drive on the report of an unknown adult male who had entered a home and sexually assaulted a juvenile female under the age of 10. The suspect was a stranger with no prior associations to the juvenile victim. The suspect was chased out of the residence by a family member.

Officers contacted the reporting party and immediately began circulating the surrounding area looking for the suspect, based on a preliminary description provided.

At approximately 9:10 AM, an alert patrol Officer located an adult male matching the suspect’s description walking in the area. The adult male was detained and was positively identified as the suspect.

The suspect was booked at Santa Clara County Main jail. The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office charged Hornsby with eight counts of felony sex crimes against a child under the age of 10.
