***UPDATE***
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that among the many valuables stolen by these suspects was a purebred French Bulldog and her puppies. SJPD Detectives have recovered the French Bulldog and one of the puppies, with an estimated value of $10,000-$15,000 each, and reunited the Frenchies with their owner. See the images and video below.
"These dogs were treated as members of the family, not just property," said Lieutenant Sanchez of the Robbery Unit. "The fact that these criminals thought they could profit from a cherished pet speaks to their indifference to the victims and the criminal justice system."
Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating three additional French Bulldog puppies that have yet to be recovered. Anyone with additional information may contact the San José Police Department’s Robbery Unit Detectives Reyes #4429 or Santistevan #4376 at 408-277-4166.
