On September 10th, 2021, at approximately 8:29 AM, Officers responded to the area of South 7th Street and Alma Avenue investigate a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
An adult male was riding his motorcycle southbound on South 7th Street when he struck a 2017 blue Ford truck that had pulled out in front of him while attempting to turn left from the west shoulder of South 7th Street.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The adult male driver of the truck remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
This is the 43rd fatal collision and the 44th victim of 2021.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after they confirm the victim’s identity and notify next of kin.
