On September 28, 2021, at approximately 10:10 PM, Officers responded to the area of Gurdwara Avenue and Carrera Court to investigate a single vehicle collision. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
A grey 2001 Honda Civic, occupied with four male juveniles, was traveling southbound on Gurdwara Avenue at a high rate of speed when it collided into a tree located in the center median. After striking the tree, the vehicle flipped over and landed in the northbound lane of Gurdwara Avenue.
One of the male passengers was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male driver and two male passengers were transported to a local hospital. Both male passengers suffered life threatening injuries.
This is the 46th fatal collision and the 47th victim of 2021.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after they confirm the victim’s identity and notify next of kin.
