During the course of the investigation suspect Paasi was identified as the primary suspect responsible for homicide number 19 that occurred on June 4, 2021. Passi fled the area and has an active arrest warrant for homicide. The suspect has ties to the Peninsula, South Bay, East Bay, and the San Diego area. Paasi is of Tongan descent and also has ties to Hawaii and Tonga.

On June 4th, 2021, at approximately 07:46 PM, Officers responded to the area of 4100 The Woods Drive on a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they located one adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There are currently no suspects identified or apprehended. The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

The identity of the deceased victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.

This is the City's 19th homicide of 2021.
