On November 8th, 2021, at approximately 6:18 AM, Officers responded to the area of the 1500 block of Hillsdale Avenue to investigate a solo vehicle traffic collision. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
A 1997 Chevrolet truck was traveling eastbound on Hillsdale Avenue when it left the roadway and collided with a tree on the south curb line of Hillsdale Avenue. At this time, it is unknown what caused the truck to veer off the roadway. The lone driver/occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is the 51st fatal collision and the 53rd victim of 2021.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after they confirm the victim’s identity and notify next of kin.
