On November 23rd, 2021, at approximately 6:23 PM, Patrol Officers responded to the Macy’s at Valley Fair mall on a report of suspicious activity. Security at the mall reported seeing at least two adult males who matched the description of suspects who stole merchandise on Sunday November 21st.
As patrol Officers arrived, the two suspects were engaging in the theft of cologne and perfume from Macy’s. Both attempted to flee on foot. Arriving Officers gave chase on foot and took both into custody. All the merchandise was recovered. The amount of the potential loss exceeded $2000.00.
At approximately 7:00 PM we received a call of another grand theft incident at Oakridge mall Macy’s. The suspects in that incident matched the description of the suspects in custody at Valley Fair. They were positively identified as being the same suspects. The loss at Oakridge mall also exceeded $2000.00 in cologne and perfume.
Suspects Lewis and Huntley were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for grand theft and burglary.
