On February 19th, 2022, at approximately 5:38 AM, Officers responded to the area of Almaden Expressway and Coleman Avenue for a solo vehicle traffic collision. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
A 2014 Infiniti sedan was traveling southbound on Almaden Expressway at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and traveled onto the center median of the expressway. The vehicle struck a tree head on. The solo adult male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is the 15th fatal collision, and 16th victim of 2022.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after they confirm the victim’s identity and notify next of kin.
