On May 17th, 2022, at approximately 6:44 PM, Officers responded to the area of South King Road and Hermocilla Way on a call of a person shot. When Officers arrived, they located an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers provided life-saving measures. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the San José Police Department Homicide Unit began an investigation into the incident. On June 3, 2022, Officers from the San José Police Department Covert Response Unit arrested Carlos Espinoza in San José in association with the homicide.
Suspect Espinoza was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for murder.
This was the City's 11th homicide.
