On March 3rd, 2022, at approximately 12:25 AM an armed robbery and attempted homicide occurred in the 900 block of South Winchester Boulevard. Three Hispanic males entered a convenience store and attempted to purchase alcohol without identification, but were denied by the cashier. All three suspects left the store. 

A short time later, one of the males returned to the store, grabbed a case of beer and left without paying. The store clerk attempted to stop the suspect and was able to wrestle the case of beer away from the suspect in the parking lot. The suspect's associates confronted the store clerk. One of the suspects brandished a firearm, pointed it at the victim's head, and fired a round, nearly striking the victim.
