On August 27, 2022, at approximately 1:36 AM, Officers responded to the area of Quimby Road and Caraston Way on a report of a stabbing. When Officers arrived they found two victims suffering from at least one stab wound each.

One was a male juvenile, 16 years old; the second victim was an adult male. Both were transported to local hospitals; one victim had a life-threatening injury the other had a non-life-threatening injury. The male juvenile with a life-threatening injury succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

The identity of the deceased victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.

This is the City's 26th homicide of 2022.
