On April 22, 2023, at approximately 1:14 PM, Officers responded to the 1600 Block of Inverness Circle on a report of a welfare check. When they arrived, they located an adult male with obvious signs of trauma who was not conscious and not breathing. Officers attempted life saving measures and requested EMS to respond to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased.
The preliminary investigation led Officers to a person of interest who was a family member present at the scene. The adult male subject, who will be identified at a later time, was detained and subsequently arrested for homicide.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
This is the City's 10th homicide of 2023.
