On April 19, 2023, at approximately 1:38 PM, Officers responded to the 1000 block of Blossom River Drive on the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they located an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite life saving efforts by Officers and arriving medics, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
SJPD Homicide Unit Detectives began a thorough and comprehensive investigation. Detectives identified Matthew Antracoli as the primary suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. On May 9, 2023, the suspect was located and arrested in the city of Morgan Hill, CA by the SJPD Covert Response Unit (CRU) and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for murder.
This was the City's 9th homicide of 2023.
