On June 4, 2023, at approximately 3:32 PM, patrol Officers responded to a solo motorcycle collision in the area of Old Oakland Road and Golden Wheel Park Drive. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
An adult male motorcycle rider was traveling northbound on Old Oakland Road at a high rate of speed and lost control, striking an unoccupied parked pickup truck.
The adult male motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries from the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is the 17th fatal collision, and the 18th traffic death of 2023.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
