On June 4, 2023, at approximately 3:54 AM, Officers responded to the 1300 block of Shawn Drive for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, they located an adult male suffering from at least one stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
During the preliminary investigation, an adult female suspect was identified as a person of interest and taken into custody in San José without incident. The suspect was known to the victim and identified as Christy Herrera. The suspect was booked at Santa Clara County Main Jail for homicide.
The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
This is the City's 15th homicide of 2023.
