On August 4, 2023, at approximately 10:06 AM, Officers responded to the scene of a welfare check in the 1600 block of Parkmoor Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers located an adult female and a juvenile male suffering from at least one stab wound each. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene by responding medics.
The SJPD Homicide Unit Detectives began a thorough investigation into this incident and identified the suspect as Nathan Addison, a resident of San José. On August 23, 2023, SJPD patrol Officers, diligently conducting patrol checks, located the suspect in San José and took him into custody. The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for homicide.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
This was the City's 23rd and 24th homicides of 2023.
