On January 10, 2024 at approximately 5:47 PM, Patrol Officers responded to the area of Descanso Drive and North First Street for a report of a hit and run vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, Officers located an adult male victim with life-threatening injuries. Despite life saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased on scene. Preliminary evidence indicated the collision to be an intentional act by the driver. The unknown suspect fled in the suspect vehicle prior to police arrival.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
This is the City's 1st homicide of 2024.
