SJPD Arrest Suspect for Road Rage, Brandishing of a Firearm, and Criminal Threats

On December 11, 2023, patrol Officers responded to a report of a brandishing of a firearm in the area of N 13th Street and Jackson Street. The victims were driving southbound on 13th Street when the suspect pulled up and pointed a firearm at them.

San José Police Department Assaults Unit Detectives conducted thorough and extensive follow up. The suspect was identified as Michael Curcuruto, a resident of Campbell.

SJPD Assaults Detectives obtained a warrant for the suspect's arrest and a search warrant for his residence.

On January 16, 2024, the SJPD Covert Response Unit (CRU) located and arrested the suspect in the city of Campbell. Detectives executed a search warrant at his residence and located a privately manufactured firearm. The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for firearm related charges.
