SJPD Arrests Suspect for Manufacture and Sale of Illegal Narcotics

San Jose Police Department METRO Unit Detectives conducting an on-going narcotics investigation uncovered evidence of illegal narcotics manufacturing and sale operating out of a business located in the 400 block of Blossom Hill Road in the city of San José. After a thorough investigation, Detectives identified Luis Carrillo-Moyeda as the primary suspect.

On January 18, 2024, Detective obtained search warrants for the suspect's residence and place of business. On January 19, 2024, the San Jose Police Department's Special Operations METRO Unit, with the assistance of SJPD's Violent Crimes Enforcement Team (VCET), Street Crimes Unit (SCU), and Downtown Services Unit (DSU), executed the search warrants and recovered various illegal narcotics, narcotics manufacturing parts, large amounts of cash, an unregistered firearm and ammunition.

The illegal narcotics being manufactured and sold by suspect Carrillo-Moyeda, commonly known as "Tusi", "2C", "Pink Cocaine", "Pantera Rosa", or Pink Panther", is a new synthetic drug made from a mixture of ketamine, Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methamphetamine, cocaine, and opioids.
