On December 27, 2023, at approximately 6:07 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a storage business located in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue for a report of an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, Officers discovered that an unidentified adult male suspect forced entry into two storage units but did not steal any items. The suspect immediately fled the area.
Detectives from the San José Police Department Financial Crimes Burglary Unit began a thorough and comprehensive investigation. Detectives discovered that the adult male suspect was connected to at least two other storage facility burglaries that occurred in January and February of 2024, and that three additional suspects were responsible for these burglaries. Detectives identified the four suspects as Ricky Lartigue, Frank Torres, Monique Lartigue, and Andrew Fernandez.
During two storage unit burglaries, nearly $400,000 in property was stolen.
SJPD Detectives obtained arrest warrants for all four suspects and search warrants for their residences in San José and Milpitas. During the execution of the search warrants, several guitars, musical equipment, and other property belonging to both victims were located with a value of over $60,000.00. Detectives also discovered other stolen property not related to the above cases. Other items located were a loaded semi-automatic pistol, a high-capacity magazine, 2,000 rounds of ammunition, and illegal narcotics.

On March 27, 2024, Detectives, with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit, the Assaults Unit, the Gang Investigations Unit, and the Sexual Assaults Investigation Unit, apprehended and arrested all four suspects in the city of Milpitas. All four suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for various crimes including burglary, conspiracy, grand theft, vandalism, and possession of stolen property.
