On April 15, 2024, at approximately 8:08 PM, a San Jose Police Department Sergeant and Reserve Officer working overtime security at a shopping mall responded to a theft that occurred in the 2800 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. The Reserve Officer and Sergeant were informed three suspects were taking property from stores within the shopping mall. Loss prevention personnel pointed out the three suspects on scene.
SJPD identified the three suspects as Danna Pejarno, Andres Diaz, and a juvenile suspect. All three suspects were taken into custody.
The suspects were found to be in possession of over 1,000 dollars worth of stolen items in their possession. During the course of the investigation, the Sergeant and Reserve Officer located the suspects' vehicle. A probable cause search of the suspects' vehicle was conducted and over 12,000 dollars worth of stolen merchandise were located inside.

Suspect Pejarno and Suspect Diaz were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail and the juvenile suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall for felony organized retail theft.
The SJPD Organized Retail Theft Detail is conducting the follow-up investigation along with Burglary Detective Beretta #3677. They are actively working to identify additional retail theft victims. This investigation is on-going.
