On June 24, 2024, at approximately 8:26 AM, San José Police Department Officers responded to the area of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Bailey Road for a report of a solo vehicle collision. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
A 2000 black Toyota pick up truck, occupied by a lone adult male driver, was travelling northbound on Santa Teresa Boulevard south of Bailey Road when it left the road way and struck an electrical pole and tree.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is the 21st fatal collision and 21st traffic death of 2024.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office.
