On September 12, 2024, at approximately 5:41 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a residence in the city San José for a report of a sexual assault of a minor that occurred in the 4000 block of Evergreen Village Square. The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown male approached the juvenile female survivor while she was sitting outside. He attempted to engage in conversation and as she stood up, he grabbed her by the waist, refused to let go after multiple demands, and proceeded to sexually assault her.

Sexual Assault Investigations Unit (SAIU) Detectives began a comprehensive investigation and identified the suspect as a juvenile male.

On September 13, 2024, SAIU Detectives arrested the suspect in the city of San José and booked him into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for felony sexual assault of a minor.
