SJPD Arrests Suspect for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

On October 28, 2024, at approximately 2:26 PM, Patrol Officers responded to a report of a trespassing onto school property that occurred at a Middle School located in the 7000 block of Bret Harte Drive. An unknown adult male suspect went onto school property and entered the women's locker room while female juvenile survivors were inside. The suspect had a mobile device and used it to record inside of the locker room. The suspect was confronted by onsite staff and fled from the property. 

San José Police Department Sexual Assault Investigations Unit (SAIU) Detectives  conducted a thorough and comprehensive investigation into the incident. Detectives, with the assistance of patrol Officers, conducted an extensive canvass of the neighborhood. During the course of the investigation, Detectives identified suspect Trevis Street as the primary suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. 

On October 30th, 2024, SAIU Detectives, with the assistance of the Special Operations Violent Crimes Enforcement Team (VCET) and Metro Unit, located and apprehended suspect Street in San José. The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for possession of child sexual abuse material and the recording of juveniles with a hidden camera in a private area.
