On October 23, 2024, at approximately 11:45 AM, Officers responded to an armed robbery that occurred in the area of Toyon Avenue and Holly Drive. The victims had completed a cash withdrawal from their bank. As they drove home, a vehicle stopped in front of them. Two suspects, both armed with a firearm, exited the vehicle and approached the victims. The suspects pointed firearms and demanded money from both victims. One victim handed her purse to the suspects. The suspects got into the suspect vehicle and fled the scene.

Upon arrival, Officers discovered the suspect vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the day. The suspects were eventually located and identified as juveniles. They were taken into custody and later booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for armed robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle.

San José Police Department Robbery Unit Detectives began a thorough investigation into the incident. Detectives identified the juvenile suspects as being responsible for an armed robbery that occurred a day prior in the 1000 block of Ivy Glen Drive. Similarly, the suspects followed the victim home after the victim had withdrawn money from a bank. One suspect was armed with a firearm when the suspects approached the victim and demanded the victim's wallet. The victim handed their wallet to the suspects who then fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.

Anyone with information about these cases is asked to contact Detective Marte #4621 of the San José Police Department’s Robbery Unit via email: 4621@sanjoseca.gov at 408-277-4166.
