On December 3, 2024, after intercepting a fentanyl sale in the city of San José, Officers with the San José Police Department Street Crimes Unit identified an adult male suspect responsible for supplying illegal narcotics for sale. The suspect, Justin Dixon, was routinely traveling from his residence in the city of Stockton to the city of San José and the city San Francisco to sell illegal narcotics. During the investigation, it was also discovered that the suspect’s girlfriend, suspect Jade Linhthasack, had been illegally purchasing firearms and providing them to suspect Dixon, who is a prohibited person from owning firearms.
The SJPD Street Crimes Unit began an investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for suspect Dixon and a search warrant for his residence in the city of Stockton.
On January 2, 2025, with the assistance of the Stockton Police Department SWAT Team, Covert Operations Unit, and the Gang Violence Suppression Unit, suspect Dixon and suspect Linhthasack were arrested in the city of Stockton and booked into San Joaquin County Main Jail. Suspect Dixon was booked for crimes including possession of illegal firearms and narcotics sales, and suspect Linhthasack was booked for crimes related to illegal firearms.
During the execution of the search warrants, the following items were seized:
- Thirteen illegal firearms including a semi-automatic pistol, an assault rifle, and an additional rifle with illegal modifications
- Of the thirteen firearms, two were stolen, two had destroyed serial numbers, and two were unregistered
- Approximately 5,000 rounds of various ammunition
- Various firearms parts and magazines
- Large quantities of illegal narcotics including cocaine, oxycodone, promethazine, cannabis, and other illegal prescription medications
- Thousands of dollars worth of designer brand watches, purses, shoes, clothing, and accessories, as well as diamonds and gold believed to be purchased with the money obtained from illegal firearm and narcotics sales
