Background:

The San José Police Department will be hosting a webinar to discuss the Department's Real Time Intelligence Center's integration of City Public Safety Cameras.

Currently the City of San José's Department of Transportation and Parking Control have nearly 3,000 cameras located throughout San José. SJPD will be accessing 1,020 of those cameras for real time crime related follow up, with the numbers increasing or decreasing based on crime trends.

The webinar will be open to the public for community members to learn more about the Real Time Intelligence Center's intended uses of the cameras.
