SJPD Arrests Suspect for Trafficking of a Minor

On January 31, 2025, following a patrol call for service, detectives from the San José Police Department Sexual Assault Investigations Unit identified evidence of a potential human trafficking case involving a minor and promptly referred the case to the Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF). Through further investigation, detectives determined that suspect Dante Price was trafficking a 16-year-old survivor for commercial sex. Based on the evidence gathered, detectives obtained a warrant for Price’s arrest.

On February 7, 2025, detectives from SJPD HTTF and the Covert Response Unit (CRU) arrested Price in the city of San José for Human Trafficking of a Minor. The arrest was the result of a collaborative effort involving the San José Police Department’s HTTF, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit, and CRU.

The juvenile survivor was rescued and provided resources.
