ARRESTED ARRESTED

In November of 2024, Officers responded to a report of a battery that occurred at Silver Leaf Park located in the area of Southpine Drive and Southview Drive. Upon arrival, Officers learned there was an altercation between a 14 year old female juvenile and a 16 year old female juvenile. The 14 year old female juvenile had been pepper sprayed by a separate unidentified male suspect. She was transported to a local hospital for injuries that were considered non-life threatening.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the two female juveniles involved in the fight were both being human trafficked by two unknown male suspects. The Special Victims Human Trafficking Task Force responded to the scene and immediately began a comprehensive investigation into the incident. Both survivors were provided with resources.

In January of 2025, Detectives identified two male juvenile suspects responsible for trafficking both survivors. Detectives obtained arrest warrants for both suspects.

On February 26, 2025, Human Trafficking Detectives, with the assistance of the Special Operations Metro Unit and Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, apprehended one of the juvenile suspects in the city of Morgan Hill. On March 31, 2025, the second juvenile suspect was later apprehended in the city of San Martin. The two juvenile suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.
