On May 22, 2025 at approximately 5:00 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of a weapons disturbance that occurred in the area of Loma Verde Drive and Winchester Boulevard. Preliminary investigation revealed that multiple male suspects approached an adult male victim, made gang-related comments, and proceeded to violently assault the victim. The suspects then stole the victim's property, and fled the scene prior to police arrival.

SJPD Gang Investigations Unit Detectives conducted a comprehensive investigation and identified four suspects who are known gang members: Josiah Lopez-Villalobos, Alexis Orozco, Eric Silva, and a 16-year-old juvenile male suspect. Detectives obtained arrest warrants for all suspects.

On July 17, 2025, Suspect Lopez-Villalobos and Suspect Silva were located and arrested in the city of San José. Both suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for gang-motivated robbery and firearm-related crimes. Suspect Orozco and the juvenile suspect were already in custody for an unrelated incident.
