On September 20, 2025, at approximately 12:19 AM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to the area of Ocala Avenue and Ridgemont Drive for a report of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
A 2024 Kawasaki Ninja, occupied by an adult male driver, was traveling eastbound on Ocala Avenue approaching the intersection with Ridgemont Drive when it collided with a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. The vehicle, occupied by an adult female driver, was making a left turn onto westbound Ocala Avenue from Ridgemont Drive when it was struck by the motorcycle.
The adult male driver was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The adult female driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and cooperated with the investigation.
This is the 26th fatal collision and 26th traffic death of 2025.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.
