On September 25, 2025, at approximately 08:25 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to the area of Branham Lane and Capay Drive for a report of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:

A 2011 Suzuki motorcycle, occupied by an adult male rider, was traveling eastbound on Branham Lane approaching the intersection with Capay Drive when it collided head on with a 2011 Ford truck. The truck, occupied by an adult male driver and two juvenile passengers, was making a left turn onto westbound Branham Lane from Capay Drive when it was struck by the motorcycle.

The adult male motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. A juvenile passenger was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford truck was cooperative with the investigation.

This is the 27th fatal collision and 27th traffic death of 2025.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.
