The San José Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the successful apprehension and extradition of a suspect responsible for a 2021 homicide. On June 4, 2021, at approximately 7:46 PM, SJPD Patrol Officers responded to the area of 4100 The Woods Drive for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, Officers located one adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect had shot and killed the victim in front of the victim's family due to a dispute over a parking space.

SJPD Homicide Unit Detectives began a comprehensive investigation and identified the suspect as Uatesoni Joseph Paasi. Suspect Paasi has an arrest warrant for homicide and is a fugitive on the run. Suspect Paasi is believed to be in the area of Baja, Mexico. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
